In this unit, learn to:

Compare one thing with another in the following ways:

a) Use the grammatical structure ' A + 比 + B + Adjective ' to compare one thing with another.

我妹妹比我矮。 My sister is shorter than me.

b) Use the grammatical structure ' A + 没有 + B + Adjective ' to express that one thing is not as Adjective (e.g. short) as something else.

我妹妹没有我矮。My sister is not as short as me.

c) Use the grammatical structure ' A + 比 + B + Adjective + 得多/一点儿/一些 ' to express that one thing is as Adjective (e.g. shorter) as another to a certain level.

我妹妹比我矮得多。My sister is much shorter than me.

Use the pattern ' ... 的时候’ to indicate ‘when something happened’ or ‘during a particular time’ with the grammatical structure ' Subject+Verb/Number-Measure word + 的时候 '.
