Reading in Levels

Reading in Levels is designed to learn Mandarin through reading and listening Mandarin articles in three levels.  In every article, we highlight the Chinese characters and phrases which are of the specific level.  When you keep reading and listening to the articles, you can know and understand the basic, intermediate and advanced Chinese words and phrases in Mandarin in a progressive manner.

Level 1:  Mandarin articles in Level 1 are for beginners. For reading and listening to this level, we expect our visitors are new to Mandarin. In this level, we use the most basic vocabulary of Chinese characters, phrases and their related grammatical structures in Mandarin.

Level 2: Mandarin articles in Level 2 are for intermediate visitors. For reading and listening to this level, we expect our visitors to have basic understanding in using more than 300 basic Chinese words and phrases. In this level, we use the intermediate vocabulary of Chinese characters, phrases and their related grammatical structures in Mandarin.

Level 3: Mandarin articles in Level 3 are for advanced visitors. For reading and listening to this level, we expect our visitors to have good understanding in using more than 600 simple Chinese words and phrases. In this level, we use the advanced vocabulary of Chinese characters, phrases and their related grammatical structures in Mandarin.
